Something from the past. We designed this bobbin loader / unloader in 2008. It’s function is to remove the empty bobbins or load full bobbins into the wire winding machines. The center of gravity manipulator switches the suspension point depending on the load. This means that the unit can carry an empty, loaded or no bobbin. To give you some idea, these bobbins weighed around 500kg each. The bobbin is the teal coloured item. The bobbins had to be well secured into the craddles by a rather robust clamping unit. The bobbin loader housed a rather hefty torque unit to clamp and unclamp the mechanism.
